| Title | krakenjs passport-saml-encrypted 0.1.13 authentication bypass missing cert |
|---|
| Description | SAML.prototype.validateResponse() only verifies the cryptographic signature of an incoming SAML Response/Assertion when the strategy was configured with a cert option. If cert is omitted — which is exactly what the project's own README.md "Configure strategy" example shows — signature verification is skipped entirely and any unsigned, attacker-forged SAML Response is accepted and trusted, including arbitrary NameID and Attribute values (e.g. role=admin). |
