|---|
| Description | The unauthenticated password-recovery mail endpoint of the xcms Admin console is vulnerable to blind SQL injection. PublicController::sendFindPwdMail() (Admin/Home/Controller/PublicController.class.php:92-121) forwards the unfiltered admin[email] POST parameter to AdminService::existAccount() (Admin/Home/Service/AdminService.class.php:200-206), which concatenates it into a string WHERE clause (email='{$email}') executed with count() against the qt_admin table. Because the string WHERE is forwarded verbatim to MySQL without escaping or parameter binding, a remote attacker can close the quote and inject arbitrary SQL predicates. The differing responses returned when the predicate is true versus false form a boolean oracle that allows extraction of administrator emails and password hashes from the database. |
