| Title | girishsaraf Online-Appointment-Booking-System f427b4757128ca253d33d0cc4e87bbb9c999a4d5 SQL Injection |
|---|
| Description | The affected component is the root `signup.php` registration handler. The `fname` field is concatenated directly into an INSERT statement:
```php
$name=$_POST['fname'];
$sql = "INSERT INTO Patient (Name, Gender, DOB,Contact,Email,Username,Password) VALUES ('$name','$gender','$dob','$contact','$email','$username','$password') ";
...
echo "Error: " . $sql . "<br>" . mysqli_error($conn);
```
An unauthenticated attacker can close the quoted value and inject additional columns, causing error-based disclosure of the full query and `mysqli_error()`. By injecting a subquery into another column position (e.g. `fname=x',(SELECT password FROM patient LIMIT 1),'...')-- -`), the attacker can insert extracted data into the new row and read it back, exfiltrating arbitrary database contents.
