FreeRDP trước phiên bản 3.32.0 không đóng các handle nối tiếp (serial handles) đã tồn tại trong hàm `serial_process_irp_create`, cho phép một máy chủ RDP độc hại làm cạn kiệt file descriptors. Kẻ tấn công có thể gửi nhiều yêu cầu IRP_MJ_CREATE nối tiếp để tích lũy các descriptor và gây ra việc chấm dứt client thông qua assertion FD_SETSIZE của CommReadFile.
