Une heap-based buffer overflow dans un certain contrôle ActiveX de fwRemoteCfg.dll version 3.3.3.1 inclus dans Friendly Technologies FriendlyPPPoE Client 3.0.0.57 permet aux attaquants distants d'exécuter du code arbitraire via un troisième argument long transmis à la méthode CreateURLShortcut.
