| Title | Tenda RouterOS AC9V1.0BR_V15.03.2.13 Stack-based Buffer Overflow |
|---|
| Description | A vulnerability was found in Tenda AC9 15.03.02.13. The affected element is the function form_fast_setting_internet_set of the file /goform/fast_setting_internet_set of the component POST Request Handler. Performing a manipulation of the argument netWanType results in stack-based buffer overflow. The attack can be initiated remotely.
In the form_fast_setting_internet_set function of /bin/httpd, the user-controlled netWanType parameter is not properly validated before being processed. The parameter is subsequently passed to the sub_690F0 function, where it is copied into the local stack buffer s through the SetValue function. Since s is defined as a fixed-size character array (char s[256]), supplying an excessively long netWanType value can cause a stack-based buffer overflow, potentially leading to memory corruption and arbitrary code execution. |
