| Title | DrayTek Vigor2960 Vigor2960 1.5.1.6 (revision 8218) Authenticated rename_table Command Injection |
|---|
| Description | rename_table inserts the user-provided newtable value into a later shell command. The current PoC confirms on the real device that a malicious newtable can terminate the original single-quoted context, execute arbitrary commands, and establish an interactive reverse shell from the device to the verifier's host.
Affected path(s):
POST /cgi-bin/mainfunction.cgi with action=rename_table
Root cause:
newtable is concatenated directly into a shell command string, and a quote in the input breaks the original shell boundary.
Confirmed impact:
An authenticated attacker can execute arbitrary shell commands through newtable.
