Google Chrome prior to 57.0.2987.98 for Windows and Mac had a race condition, which could cause Chrome to display incorrect certificate information for a site.
The bug was discovered 03/09/2017. The weakness was shared 04/24/2017 by Holger Fuhrmannek with Tencent (Website). The advisory is shared at chromereleases.googleblog.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-5035 since 01/02/2017. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
