A vulnerability was found in Underbit MAD libmad 0.15.1b. It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function mad_bit_skip of the file bit.c. The mad_bit_skip function in bit.c in Underbit MAD libmad 0.15.1b allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer over-read and application crash) via a crafted audio file.
The bug was discovered 04/30/2017. The weakness was disclosed 05/01/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at blogs.gentoo.org.
