Details
A vulnerability has been found in Red Hat JBoss Application Server up to 4.x (Application Server Software) and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the file HTTPServerILServlet.java of the component JMS over HTTP Invocation Layer. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a deserialization vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-502. The product deserializes untrusted data without sufficiently verifying that the resulting data will be valid. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
HTTPServerILServlet.java in JMS over HTTP Invocation Layer of the JbossMQ implementation, which is enabled by default in Red Hat Jboss Application Server <= Jboss 4.X does not restrict the classes for which it performs deserialization, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted serialized data.
