In ImageMagick 7.0.5-5, a crafted RLE image can trigger a crash because of incorrect EOF handling in coders/rle.c.

The bug was discovered 05/28/2017. The weakness was disclosed 05/22/2017 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-9144 since 05/22/2017. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
