Two errors in the "asn1_find_node()" function (lib/parser_aux.c) within GnuTLS libtasn1 version 4.10 can be exploited to cause a stacked-based buffer overflow by tricking a user into processing a specially crafted assignments file via the e.g. asn1Coding utility.
The bug was discovered 05/22/2017. The weakness was shared 05/22/2017 by Jakub Jirasek with Secunia Research as confirmed git commit (GIT Repository). It is possible to read the advisory at git.savannah.gnu.org. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2017-6891 since 03/14/2017. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
