Affected by this issue is an unknown code of the file client/consumer/cli.py of the component Private Key Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a access control vulnerability. client/consumer/cli.py in Pulp before 2.8.3 writes consumer private keys to etc/pki/pulp/consumer/consumer-cert.pem as world-readable.

The bug was discovered 05/19/2016. The weakness was shared 06/08/2017 (oss-sec). The advisory is available at openwall.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2016-3112 since 03/10/2016.
