The mobiGate App for Android version 2.2.1.2 and earlier and mobiGate App for iOS version 2.2.4.1 and earlier do not verify X.509 certificates from SSL servers, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof servers and obtain sensitive information via a crafted certificate.
The bug was discovered 11/01/2016. The weakness was shared 06/09/2017 by Gaku Taniguchi with RiskFinder (Website). The advisory is shared at jvn.jp. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2016-7805 since 09/09/2016. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
