The pulp-qpid-ssl-cfg script in Pulp before 2.8.6 allows local users to obtain the CA key.
The bug was discovered 04/20/2016. The weakness was disclosed 06/13/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared at lists.fedoraproject.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2016-3696 since 03/30/2016. An attack has to be approached locally. A single authentication is needed for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. Upgrading to version 2.8.5 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published before and not just after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
