A vulnerability has been found in Tablib 0.11.4 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown part of the component Databook Loader. An exploitable vulnerability exists in the Databook loading functionality of Tablib 0.11.4. A yaml loaded Databook can execute arbitrary python commands resulting in command execution. An attacker can insert python into loaded yaml to trigger this vulnerability.
The bug was discovered 06/13/2017. The weakness was disclosed 06/14/2017 by Cisco with Cisco Talos (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-2810 since 12/01/2016. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1202.
