The wav_open_read function in frontend/input.c in Freeware Advanced Audio Coder (FAAC) 1.28 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (large loop) via a crafted wav file.
The bug was discovered 06/19/2017. The weakness was disclosed 06/21/2017 as EDB-ID 42207 as not defined exploit (Exploit-DB). The advisory is available at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2017-9129 since 05/21/2017. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
