A vulnerability was found in Trihedral VTScada up to 11.2.25 (SCADA Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects some unknown processing. A Resource Consumption issue was discovered in Trihedral VTScada Versions prior to 11.2.26. The client does not properly validate the input or limit the amount of resources that are utilized by an attacker, which can be used to consume more resources than are available.
The bug was discovered 06/13/2017. The weakness was released 06/21/2017 by Karn Ganeshen (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-6043 since 02/16/2017. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
