A vulnerability was found in Request Tracker up to 4.0.24/4.2.13/4.4.1 (Ticket Tracking Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown part of the component URL Handler. Request Tracker (RT) 4.x before 4.0.25, 4.2.x before 4.2.14, and 4.4.x before 4.4.2 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information about cross-site request forgery (CSRF) verification tokens via a crafted URL.
The bug was discovered 06/15/2017. The weakness was released 07/03/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared at debian.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-5943 since 02/09/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
