This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-8596, CVE-2017-8610, CVE-2017-8618, CVE-2017-8619, CVE-2017-8603, CVE-2017-8604, CVE-2017-8605, CVE-2017-8606, CVE-2017-8607, CVE-2017-8608, CVE-2017-8598 and CVE-2017-8609.

The bug was discovered 07/11/2017. The weakness was shared 07/11/2017 by Liu Long with Nanyang Technological University as KB4025338 as confirmed security update guide (Website). A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the way that the Chakra JavaScript engine renders when handling objects in memory in Microsoft Edge. The vulnerability could corrupt memory in such a way that an attacker could execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user.
