A vulnerability was found in ipsilon 2.0. It has been classified as problematic. Affected is an unknown part of the component Session Handler. A vulnerability in ipsilon was found that allows attacker to log out active sessions of other users. This issue is related to how it tracks sessions, and allows an unauthenticated attacker to view and terminate active sessions from other users.

The bug was discovered 11/21/2016. The weakness was published 07/12/2017 by Patrick with Red Hat as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is available at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2016-8638 since 10/12/2016. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
