A vulnerability has been found in Network Manager up to 1.0.11 on RHEL7 and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown function. Race condition in Network Manager before 1.0.12 as packaged in Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop 7, Red Hat Enterprise Linux HPC Node 7, Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation 7 allows local users to obtain sensitive connection information by reading temporary files during ifcfg and keyfile changes.
The bug was discovered 11/03/2016. The weakness was presented 07/17/2017 (Website). The advisory is available at rhn.redhat.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2016-0764 since 12/16/2015.
