A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in MetInfo 5.3.17 (Content Management System). This issue affects an unknown code of the file /admin/system/database/filedown.php of the component ZIP File Handler. The manipulation of the argument filenames with the input value ..\ leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. A directory traversal vulnerability exists in MetInfo 5.3.17. A remote attacker can use ..\ to delete any .zip file via the filenames parameter to /admin/system/database/filedown.php.
