A vulnerability has been found in FontForge (the affected version unknown) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects the function addnibble of the file parsettf.c of the component OTF File Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. FontForge 20161012 is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow in addnibble (parsettf.c) resulting in DoS or code execution via a crafted otf file.
