A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in oxide-qt up to 1.9.0 on Ubuntu. Affected is the function oxide::JavaScriptDialogManager. The oxide::JavaScriptDialogManager function in oxide-qt before 1.9.1 as packaged in Ubuntu 15.04 and Ubuntu 14.04 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or execute arbitrary code via a crafted website.
The bug was discovered 09/08/2015. The weakness was disclosed 07/25/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at ubuntu.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2015-1332 since 01/22/2015.
