A vulnerability was found in Soundtouch 1.9.2 and classified as problematic. This issue affects the function TDStretch::acceptNewOverlapLength of the file source/SoundTouch/TDStretch.cpp of the component WAV File Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a resource consumption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-400. The TDStretch::acceptNewOverlapLength function in source/SoundTouch/TDStretch.cpp in SoundTouch 1.9.2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory allocation error and application crash) via a crafted wav file.
The bug was discovered 07/26/2017. The weakness was disclosed 07/27/2017 by qflb.wu (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at seclists.org.
