A vulnerability was found in GigaCC Office up to 2.3 and classified as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the component File Upload. GigaCC OFFICE ver.2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to upload arbitrary files as a user profile image, which may be exploited for unauthorized file sharing.
The bug was discovered 01/19/2017. The weakness was disclosed 08/02/2017 by Masaki Yoshikawa (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2016-7845 since 09/09/2016. The attack may be initiated remotely. Required for exploitation is a simple authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1068 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
