An Improper Authorization issue was discovered in OSIsoft PI Integrator for Business Analytics before 2016 R2, PI Integrator for Microsoft Azure before 2016 R2 SP1, and PI Integrator for SAP HANA before 2017. An attacker is able to gain privileged access to the system while unauthorized.
The bug was discovered 08/08/2017. The weakness was disclosed 08/14/2017 with OSIsoft (Website). The advisory is available at techsupport.osisoft.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-9653 since 06/14/2017. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
