Nimbus JOSE+JWT before 4.39 proceeds improperly after detection of an invalid HMAC in authenticated AES-CBC decryption, which allows attackers to conduct a padding oracle attack.
The bug was discovered 04/13/2017. The weakness was published 08/20/2017 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at bitbucket.org.
