A vulnerability has been found in phpMyBackupPro 2.1/2.2/2.3/2.4 (Backup Software) and classified as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown part of the file get_file.php of the component Incomplete Fix. The manipulation of the argument view with the input value .. leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in get_file.php in phpMyBackupPro 2.1 through 2.4 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the view parameter. NOTE: the provenance of this information is unknown; the details are obtained solely from third party information. NOTE: this vulnerability exists due to an incomplete fix to CVE-2009-4050.
