A vulnerability was found in QEMU (Virtualization Software) (affected version unknown) and classified as problematic. This issue affects the function ifq_so of the file slirp/socket.c. Use-after-free vulnerability in the sofree function in slirp/socket.c in QEMU (aka Quick Emulator) allows attackers to cause a denial of service (QEMU instance crash) by leveraging failure to properly clear ifq_so from pending packets.

The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-13711 since 08/28/2017. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
