Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a crafted web site, aka "Internet Explorer Memory Corruption Vulnerability," a different vulnerability than CVE-2013-3872, CVE-2013-3873, and CVE-2013-3882.

The issue has been introduced in 04/12/2011. The weakness was published 10/08/2013 by Jose A. Vazquez with Yenteasy Security Research as MS13-080 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared at technet.microsoft.com. The public release has been coordinated with Microsoft. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-3885 since 06/03/2013. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. The price for an exploit might be around USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 05/26/2021). It is expected to see the exploit prices for this product decreasing in the near future.

The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 910 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $25k-$100k.
