In Single Sign-On for Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) 1.3.x versions prior to 1.3.4 and 1.4.x versions prior to 1.4.3, a user can execute a XSS attack on certain Single Sign-On service UI pages by inputting code in the text field for an organization name.
The bug was discovered 08/31/2017. The weakness was disclosed 09/09/2017 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at pivotal.io. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-8041 since 04/21/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
