The bug was discovered 09/06/2017. The weakness was presented 09/11/2017 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-14239 since 09/10/2017. The attack can be launched remotely. A single authentication is necessary for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
