A vulnerability was found in Netsweeper up to 3.1.9/4.0.8/4.1.1. It has been declared as critical. Netsweeper before 3.1.10, 4.0.x before 4.0.9, and 4.1.x before 4.1.2 allows remote attackers to bypass authentication and remove IP addresses from the quarantine via the ip parameter to webadmin/user/quarantine_disable.php.
The bug was discovered 08/21/2015. The weakness was presented 09/19/2017 as EDB-ID 37929 as not defined exploit (Exploit-DB). The advisory is shared for download at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2014-9610 since 01/16/2015. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
