The bug was discovered 09/15/2017. The weakness was disclosed 09/22/2017 by Steven Seeley (mr_me) with Offensive Security (Website). The advisory is shared at success.trendmicro.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-14081 since 08/31/2017. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The successful exploitation needs a single authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1202 for this issue.
