Details
A vulnerability was found in NVIDIA GPU Display Driver (Hardware Driver Software) (unknown version). It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown code block of the component Kernel Mode Layer. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a input validation vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-20. The product receives input or data, but it does
not validate or incorrectly validates that the input has the
properties that are required to process the data safely and
correctly. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
NVIDIA GPU Display Driver contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer handler where a value passed from a user to the driver is not correctly validated and used as the index to an array which may lead to a denial of service or possible escalation of privileges.
