A vulnerability has been found in Image Gallery Plugin up to 1.2.0 on WordPress (Photo Gallery Software) and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is some unknown processing of the file wp-admin/admin.php. The manipulation of the argument id as part of a Parameter leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. SQL injection vulnerability in the Responsive Image Gallery plugin before 1.2.1 for WordPress allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the "id" parameter in an add_edit_theme task in the wpdevart_gallery_themes page to wp-admin/admin.php.
The bug was discovered 09/22/2017. The weakness was presented 09/25/2017 as not defined mailinglist post (Full-Disclosure). The advisory is shared at seclists.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-14125 since 09/04/2017. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
