A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Exiv2 0.26 (Image Processing Software). This affects the function Exiv2::Jp2Image::readMetadata of the file jp2image.cpp. The manipulation as part of a Metadata leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. There is a heap-based buffer over-read in the Exiv2::Jp2Image::readMetadata function of jp2image.cpp in Exiv2 0.26. A Crafted input will lead to a denial of service attack.
