A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in QNAP (version now known). Affected is some unknown processing of the component Helpdesk Application. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. QNAP has already patched this vulnerability. This security concern allows a remote attacker to perform an SQL injection on the application and obtain Helpdesk application information. A remote attacker does not require any privileges to successfully execute this attack.
