A vulnerability was found in ImageMagick 7.0.7-2 (Image Processing Software). It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function ReadSGIImage of the file coders/sgi.c. ImageMagick 7.0.7-2 has a memory leak in ReadSGIImage in coders/sgi.c.
The bug was discovered 09/15/2017. The weakness was shared 10/10/2017 by Venustech with Adlab of Venustech (GitHub Repository). The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-15217 since 10/10/2017. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
