A vulnerability has been found in Redmine Account up to 3.2.5/3.3.2 (Project Management Software) and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown function of the file account/lost_password of the component Referer Log. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a log file vulnerability (Password). In Redmine before 3.2.6 and 3.3.x before 3.3.3, remote attackers can obtain sensitive information (password reset tokens) by reading a Referer log, because account/lost_password does not use a redirect.
The bug was discovered 10/15/2017. The weakness was presented 10/18/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at redmine.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-15572 since 10/17/2017.
