A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in F5 BIG-IP Analytics 11.3.0 (Firewall Software). This issue affects an unknown code block of the component Session Cookie Handler. F5 BIG-IP Analytics 11.x before 11.4.0 uses a predictable session cookie, which makes it easier for remote attackers to have unspecified impact by guessing the value.
The weakness was presented 04/09/2013 as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at support.f5.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with F5. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-7408 since 10/26/2014. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
