A vulnerability was found in VMware AirWatch up to 9.1.x and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown function of the component Log File Handler. VMware AirWatch Console 9.x prior to 9.2.0 contains a vulnerability that could allow an authenticated AWC user to add malicious data to an enrolled device's log files. Successful exploitation of this issue could result in an unsuspecting AWC user opening a CSV file which contains malicious content.
The bug was discovered 11/09/2017. The weakness was released 11/16/2017 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at vmware.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-4931 since 12/26/2016. The attack may be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation requires a simple authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.

Upgrading to version 9.2.0 eliminates this vulnerability.
