WebKit, as used in Apple iOS before 7, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) via a crafted web site, a different vulnerability than other WebKit CVEs listed in APPLE-SA-2013-09-18-2.

Multiple memory corruption issues existed in WebKit. These issues were addressed through improved memory handling.This vulnerability was named CVE-2013-5127 since 08/15/2013. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $0-$5k (estimation calculated on 06/01/2021).
The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 70257 (Apple TV < 6.0 Multiple Vulnerabilities), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Misc.. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 121756 (Apple iTunes Prior to 11.1.4 Multiple Vulnerabilities (HT6001)).
Upgrading to version 6.1 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
