WebKit in Apple Safari before 6.1 disables the Private Browsing feature upon a launch of the Web Inspector, which makes it easier for context-dependent attackers to obtain browsing information by leveraging LocalStorage/ files.

Using the Web Inspector disabled Private Browsing without warning. This issue was addressed by improved state management.This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-5130 since 08/15/2013. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
