OpenDaylight Karaf 0.6.1-Carbon fails to clear the cache after a password change, allowing the old password to be used until the Karaf cache is manually cleared (e.g. via restart).

The bug was discovered 11/23/2017. The weakness was published 11/30/2017 as not defined mailinglist post (oss-sec). The advisory is shared at seclists.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-1000406 since 11/30/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. A simple authentication is required for exploitation.
