A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Artica Web Proxy 3.06.112216 (Firewall Software). This vulnerability affects an unknown functionality of the file freeradius.users.php. Artica Web Proxy before 3.06.112911 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code as root by conducting a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack involving the username-form-id parameter to freeradius.users.php.
The bug was discovered 11/28/2017. The weakness was presented 12/01/2017 by hyp3rlinx as EDB-ID 43206 as confirmed exploit (Exploit-DB). The advisory is shared for download at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-17055 since 11/29/2017. The attack can be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation needs a single authentication. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1202.
