Artica Web Proxy before 3.06.112911 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code as root by conducting a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack involving the username-form-id parameter to freeradius.users.php.

The bug was discovered 11/28/2017. The weakness was presented 12/01/2017 by hyp3rlinx as EDB-ID 43206 as confirmed exploit (Exploit-DB). The advisory is shared for download at exploit-db.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-17055 since 11/29/2017. The attack can be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation needs a single authentication. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1202.
