Pandora iOS app prior to version 8.3.2 fails to properly validate SSL certificates provided by HTTPS connections, which may enable an attacker to conduct man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks.
The bug was discovered 03/28/2017. The weakness was published 12/16/2017 by Will Dormann with CERT/CC as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is shared for download at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-3194 since 12/05/2016. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
